Tyler Seidenberg was born in Oakville and while in highschool began a compositional journey that culminated in a series of\u00a0\u00a0solos\/duets for piano. His\u00a0work is both\u00a0interesting\u00a0 and challenging for\u00a0the growing musician.\u00a0 I often hear &#8220;sweet&#8221; from students during\u00a0an intro to one of Ty&#8217;s pieces.\u00a0\u00a0At 23 years of age, \u00a0he has become\u00a0a hero in my studio\u00a0&#8211; inspiring young musicians to work hard, enjoy their music making\u00a0and helping them to understand why learning\u00a0the technical requirements and theory are so important.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In between energetic performances and improvisations, Tyler talked to\u00a0my students about composing and how through some simple steps and the music skills they had already acquired (and would be acquiring in the future) they too, could &#8220;speak&#8221; through music. He discussed the similarities between music of Mozart and the pop music of today.<\/p>\n<p>Tyler&#8217;s charismatic nature, his sense of humour and passion for music were infectious and his message has been reverberating through my studio since workshop day. My students were both inspired and motivated.
